Privacy Policy

The short version: your grades never leave your device. The calculators run in your browser, there are no accounts, and we don’t collect what you type into them.

Grades and anything you type into a calculator

• Calculated in your browser. Every calculation runs on your phone or computer. The courses, grades and numbers you enter are not sent to our server.
• “Paste grades” reads the text you paste in your browser and turns it into course rows. The pasted text is not sent to us, saved or put in share links.
• “Save on this device” stores your entries in your browser’s local storage, on that device only. We can’t see it. “Forget saved” deletes it, and so does clearing your browser’s site data.
• “Share link” puts your entries in the part of the link after the # sign. Browsers don’t send that part to the website, so it doesn’t reach us, but anyone you give the link to can see the grades in it.

What our hosting records

Like every website, our hosting provider (Hostinger, which also runs the content delivery network that serves this site) keeps standard server logs: your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser type. These are used to keep the site running and secure, and are not combined with anything else.

Cookies, analytics and ads

This site sets no cookies for visitors and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. If we ever add analytics or ads, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, the name, email address and message you enter are emailed to us so we can reply. They are not stored in the website’s database. We keep the email only as long as we need it to answer you, and we never sell or share it.

Children

SemesterMath is meant for high school students, college students, parents and teachers. It is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. The calculators collect none from anyone; if you are under 13, please don’t use the contact form.

Your choices

You can use every calculator without giving us any personal information. To have a message you sent us deleted, ask through the contact form.

Changes

If this policy changes, the “updated” date at the top of the page changes with it.
